About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To do all of the things everywhere. Failing that, learning about earthlings in all their beauty.

ABOUT ME

I am an open, easy-going guy. I live blessed life, with beautiful and kind people around me. I try to be humble to this, and look to spread goodness and joy to those around me. I am getting prepared to uproot and spend some long time travelling.

PHILOSOPHY

Be kind, prevent suffering. Don't be smug about it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have tried to open my home to any who need it, which means that over time i have hosted a few people in the past, and many are lifelong friends. Currently i am travelling and preparing a portfolio for art school, so i can't host anyone.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've enjoyed hosting people in the past (though my flatmate seems to have stolen all the couchsurfing kudos, but what can you do). I've also really enjoyed surfing other's couches when i've been lucky enough to travel. Couchsurfing's secret network of really amazing people is something to be celebrated, and i hope to explore it more.

Interests

I am interested in the Wilderness, connecting with other people and art. So much art.

Music, Movies, and Books

China Miéville, Terry Pratchett and Chuck Palanhuick are some of my favorite authors. I read a lot though, so i'm going to limit my list to those and look forward to recommendations. It's a cliché, but aside from insipid commercial drivel i love every kind of music (even hardtek, no matter how hard it is to love). The same goes for movies, but i have a soft spot for classic B-Movies and movies by Darren Arronofsky.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw a sailfish and a whale shark. I've also seen and hugged loads of really big trees.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know and can teach the Didgeridoo. And maybe some basic sketching. Definitely how to make and juggle with flowersticks. I'm fairly good at that.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A portrait of you, if you're willing to sit for an hour. Delicious vegetarian cooking. Stories. Knowledge about ants and funghi.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
