Overview
About Me
I come from both Sudanese and American heritage, and was brought up in Maryland, USA. I went to high school in three different countries before returning to America, where I have lived in Missouri for 10 years during my adult life. Missouri is also where I met my best friends and my partner Nathan. I took one year for a residency program in Texas and have recently moved back to Missouri.
Those who know me would describe me as a vivacious dancer, great conversationalist, and exceptional listener. I love a good drink, live music and good energy.
I appreciate the opportunity to travel and the generosity I've received, and hope to return the same to fellow travelers and even my neighbors. I really love learning new languages and finding the commonalities between languages, foods, clothing and other aspects of culture.
Becoming a global citizen helps me relate more to those different than myself, as well as acknowledge pre-conceived biases.
