Music, Movies, and Books

I love cinema especially old, foreign, and art films but I dig mega studio superhero stories as well.

Favorites are tough to say but recently read Hunger by Roxane Gay. The last concert I went to was Sharon Van Etten. The Burmese Harp is one of my favorite films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taught visually impaired and blind students how to surf. Lived in a tent for a few months in Australia. Surfed Jeffrey's Bay, South Africa.

Finally getting on a rollercoaster after being afraid of them my whole life. And realizing I loved it. Climbing a really tough trail to get an incredible view of Geirangerfjord and having shaky legs after.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach people how to surf, how to drive a stick-shift, how to take pictures beyond point and shoot, how to change a tire/tube on a bicycle, how to make videos and edit.

I would like to learn how to sail, how to rock climb (currently making this happen), and I'm on attempt #3 of learning Spanish, so nice to meet folks who are patient enough to make very slow conversation with me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can help cook, clean or even assist with projects around your place. Or I can bring you your favorite treat!
