About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make YOU a roquefort stuffed hamburger with grilled red onions, bacon, lettuce and tomato!

ABOUT ME

Robert likes to cook, meet new people, learn languages, dance, play instruments, take photos, travel, read and ride his bike. Someday he hopes to do something artistic, but until then he'll be as average as the INFP that he is.

PHILOSOPHY

As a jaunt of a small treatise: I believe that life is fairly short. I believe that the majority of people realize this but do two very different things in light of it. On one side, there are those who try to make as much money as possible to buy as many things as possible to satisfy their vanity. On the other side, are those who, instead in a different or more enlightened form of vanity, seek to enrich their lives through the arts and through travel. Those who seek pleasure through things and those who seek pleasure through enriching themselves. I identify with the latter, and in so doing wish to enrich my life through travel, cooking, learning, experiencing, reading and laughing. I will probably never earn a lucrative living, but before I die, I will think back on my experience as being far richer than Bill Gate's 401k -- at least that's what I'm aiming for!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've ever seen is the former capital of old Japan, Kyoto, I wandered the shrines in awe, I felt like I was transported back in time -- to a place so foreign that it rendered me oblivious to the modern world...a nice feeling.

Teach, Learn, Share

I really like to cook, I'm still learning but can make some pretty tasty meals. So, if someone likes to cook as well, it would be nice to learn a local dish! I make it a point to try the local cuisine. I've been playing guitar for about 10 years, so I can teach someone some basic chords or a song that I know if that's what they dig. I love photography but I'm not very good at it, so if you're a photographer, I'd love to see your shots!
