About Me

CURRENT MISSION

And the world will be happy that you went to visit it a bit

ABOUT ME

I'm never happier than when I'm in a strange new country with my backpack, a battered guide book, a handful of words in the local language and nothing but the open road ahead.

I've left my life of 9-5 career in Sydney on November 25th to explore this wild and crazy thing we call the world. 2 years of hitchhiking and living on a $10 a day budget (not because I need to, but because I want to see if it is still possible) I've slept in the forest floor of the Nepali Himalayas, A mosque in Malaysia, The beach in Thailand, A Buddhist Temple in Sri Lanka, and many other crazy places. I've hitched on sailboats in Cambodia, Oil Tankers in Malaysia, The roof of busses in Nepal, Motorbikes in Vietnam, and i'm always looking for the next. The crazier the better.

All of this adventure is being documented through my new found passion of journalism, photography, and filmography. Check them out:

Besides this adventure I love keeping the soul young, diving the warm turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean / Training for triathlons / Being wrangled into going to the Azores just because I have a theory that wine tastes better when shared at the edge of a volcanic crater in the middle of the ocean

Architect & Real Estate Investor. I do love my career, but I work to live not the other way around.

PHILOSOPHY

My guide to living is simple:

Realize it’s possible, instead of telling yourself why you can’t.
Become aware of your self-talk.
Squash negative thoughts like a bug.
Replace them with positive thoughts.
Love what you have already.
Be grateful for your life, your gifts, and other people.
Every day.
Focus on what you have, not on what you haven’t.
Don’t compare yourself to others.
But be inspired by them.
Accept criticism with grace.
But ignore the naysayers.
See bad things as a blessing in disguise.
See failure as a stepping stone to success.
Surround yourself by those who are positive.
Complain less, smile more.
Image that you’re already positive.
Then become that person in your next act

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

surf - host - meet up ... love it all.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So many it's hard to pick one, but one that comes to mind was hosting 3 french pastry chefs who came to my place and baked over 2000 pastries to sell at the local market the next day. Lets just say we ate well that day

Interests

You look down and see you have ghostly white knuckles from holding on for dear life... the wind presses against your skin and the sun warms the back of your neck as you a€™re speeding down the coastal road. The Australian coastline looks 10x more beautiful when framed by the handlebars of a motorbike. There's no backing out of it now, you're along for the ride... This sums up my love of adventure and the open road

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Trekking through the rhododendron forest in Nepal

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to blow spit bubbles!?

"If not you, who? If not now, when?"
"Accept it, change it, or walk away."
"Look for the pattern."
Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny. - Frank Outlaw
