About Me

Not liking to write about myself is also an introduction, but that doesn't get me anywhere. I am a student, Europe is my home and travelling is my drug. I am very relaxed, but do want to explore instead of sitting still. I have moments when I am very outgoing and sociable, or I can be a bit less outgoing and still sociable.

I love meat, but I will eat your vegetarian food and be totally interested in why you don't eat meat and what your philosophy behind it is. We will have a good discussion, laugh, and agree to disagree.

I'll be interested in where you come from, what your culture is and habits are, and how you see the world. I'll be genuinely interested when you have a good story to tell. We can get buzzed, or stay sober. Geopolitics is interesting, and so is beer and yeast, or coffee for that matter. I seriously dislike people with strong opinions and little knowledge. Recognize this, and I'm sure we'll have a great time together.

Music, Movies, and Books

Almost any kind, from Dutch folk to Bulgarian chalga. Not a big movie fan, I'd rather watch documentaries. Bradt travel guides, since they get into local detail.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Friendly Albanians driving like crazy to overtake the bus that we missed. Being closed in by street dogs in Bucharest.

Teach, Learn, Share

Dutch language and culture, cooking, stories.

Countries I’ve Visited

Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Macedonia, Monaco, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Finland, Netherlands, New Zealand
