ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm Rachel, an English Teacher living in Madrid. I love travelling and have visited a few places around the world. I love reading, music, meeting new people - and I guess my new hobby is learning Spanish! I live with my friend Jane, also an English Teacher here in Spain, and we both love finding out new things about people and the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't done any surfing myself but we have hosted two couchsurfers here over the last few months, and it's been great both times! I look forward to welcoming more people to this city :)

Interests

Rachel - English Lit graduate, so love books of all shapes and sizes :) Love Asia, travelling and am an English teacher, so education a favourite topic.
Jane - loves travelling, learning Chinese, new people and exciting food from around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Big Lord of the rings fans, although will watch most things as we're pretty laid back. Slightly addicted to various cookery shows though! Pretty varied taste in films, from action to arty. Music-wise, both have quite a broad range of tastes, including folk music and jazz.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been lucky enough to visit some amazing places in my life - I've done a cruise int he Whitsunday Islands, which was one of the best things I've ever done, and generally driving through NZ South Island was incredible, just for the scenery alone!
