About Me
An adventurous spirit currently in France for an exchange. I love traveling but I'm usually in a little corner — so now I'm trying to explore other spots in my lovely europe while I'm here. I've already biked around Alsace to get in touch with the region and nature, that was pretty cool.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I first heard of this couchsurfing thing back in school, and I thought it was crazy. But I decided to give it a try, and now here we are... I'm hooked. This is truly the most human way to travel; as long as surfers and hosts are on the same page regarding meals, doors, hanging out, then it goes smoothly and ends up being the best part of the trip!
I'm thinking of maybe hosting over the summer when I get back home, I'd love to give back to this community.

Music, Movies, and Books
Fav music: the sound of my dog snoring as she soothes me to sleep.
Fav movies: Synecdoche, New York (2008); Fight Club (1999); Lost in Translation (2003); anything by Wes Anderson
Fav books: If we mean books that changed me and critical points in life (a.k.a. adolescence) and everyone should read: 1984 and Brave New World. If we mean lovely works of literary fiction: The Hobbit
I'm currently more into books than anything else, practicing my french through Sartre, Camus and whatever other old secondhand books I find in small shops and fairs. I'm a big cinema fan too, recently having expanded my views to foreign cinema (French, Indian, Japanese, Korean, South American...) but I'm still quite a baby on this topic. As for music it's my biggest love, and I miss playing my piano while I'm away from home :(
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A solo biking trip through Alsace, not really sure what I was doing, for a week (also my first experience with CS)
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm not sure there's much I can teach, although I can tell you all about my home country which you might have never visited!! And when I go back to Lisbon I'll be accepting guests since we have a spare room. Unfortunately in Lyon my residence doesn't allow overnight guests which really sucks
As for learning I'm very much interested in practicing my french, so if you prefer we can try interacting (mostly) in french (if you're patient with me, really); or english or spanish; and also, if you're up for it, I'd love to learn how to cook some typical recipes from the region (though I try to stay away from meat)!
What I Can Share with Hosts
My.. sparkling personality? haha I don't know, but if you're up to it I'd love to share my love for hiking and biking, yummy veggie food, and chat over a cup of tea (or other drinks)
Countries I’ve Visited
