About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Develop my craft and live as fully as I can
ABOUT ME
I flirted with embarking on a nomadic lifestyle in the weeks after getting back from my two months of backpacking around Europe in the Summer of 2010, but as my social consciousness grew so did my desire not to be a pauper but instead a serious patron for myself...so career path it is! Three years of grad school and I'll be a Speech Language Pathologist, making more than enough to support my more than humble habits, and I'll have three months per year to devote to writing and traveling. It's true when they say good things come in threes.
PHILOSOPHY
I was a philosophy minor at UH, so I could totally geek out over this question and go on and on. I think philosophy is a great consolation, but in practice it's best to keep things simple. Most people are better than you might think (though for the rest give a wide berth), and everyone has more to offer than they might think.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I consider myself a friendly CS evangelist. Through couchsurfing in Europe I met some of the best people I've ever met ever, and now that I have my own place again it's open to any travelers that share the CS ethos.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couchsurfed across Europe (Amsterdam, Berlin, Budapest, Florence, Paris, London), and am totally in love with the site and the people who populate it. Best people in the world!
Interests
Short stories are my favorite art form; I love reading and writing them. I love indie rock and all kinds of live music. I like being outdoors and learning new things. Museums are my second home. I love to go running, and I currently have one marathon under my belt. And of course traveling. After backpacking around Europe for two months, I can safely say I want to make traveling a bigger and bigger part of my life.
If I had to give one overriding interest I have, though, I'd say it is learning how to love life more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Running and completing my first marathon ranks as one of my greatest personal achievements. Traveling solo in Europe for two months (it impresses my friends even if it's child's play compared to a lot of CS'ers).
