About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Stop eating toothpaste.

ABOUT ME

A little boy once looked into a pond and asked his mother what it was that he could see. She smiled, and told him that it was his own reflection. The boy shook his head and said, "That's not me - there's a fish in his head".

I think that I'm that fish, but I'm not sure yet.

PHILOSOPHY

This changes all the time, and I'm kinda happy that it does. At the moment I feel that we all have a right to express ourselves, and that it is in the between spaces that any sense of connection with reality can be found. Mmm, I don't really understand that either.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been a bad couchsurfer lately - being unable to host anyone means that I have only been able to write emails and meet people for coffee. But, I still think it's an important part of the project, of having an international community of travellers getting together to learn more about the world.I also travel occasionally and love to meet up with new people and see their city through their eyes.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started crashing on people´s couches a little while ago, and I´ve had nothing but amazing experiences. CSers tend to be more open-minded, generous and entertaining, so everyone´s made my travels a great experience.

Interests

Performance, storytelling, writing, food, film, books, music (but only as a listener, can't play any instrument), entheogenesis, walking for long distances in random directions.

Music, Movies, and Books

It was time to update my list after so many years.
Film - I change my mind too often to have favourites, but current films I love are: A Separation, Hunger, Holy Mountain, Pan's Labyrinth, Let the Right One In, Melancholia.
Music - Same goes here, but I'm currently listening to Jon Hopkins, Trentemoeller, Murcof, Arcade Fire, the Flaming Lips, and others.
Books - on the hit list right now - Unbearable Lightness of Being, 2666, The Sandman, The Magus, and a lot of books on theatre theory and practice.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walked across Spain
Sailed through Greece and saw a monk in his underwear
Woke up in the rain to find that someone had set fire to my tent at a festival. Burning nylon looks magical, but don't touch it kids!

Teach, Learn, Share

I know things about storytelling, working with masks, learning clowning and bouffon performance at the moment, I can make sounds with my mouth that some people think are interesting.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Poland, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
