I am Benjamin, Ben for short (Changed from Matthew to Ben in 2021, that's why references are Matthew).

Big fan of technology and building systems of any sort. Philosophy and economics used to take much of my time, but I enjoy designing and planning cool software products nowadays.

Meaningful open conversations are usually what I look for to get a different outlook on life, but I definitely want the fun and comical element in any of them. Feel free with the jokes around me! I love them all.

I will most likely make you laugh or shock you with a story or something :)

I initially started to hang out with travelers to learn facts and ways of living in the countries they lived in; a few months into it I did not only find myself addicted to going out with people with radically different views, but I realized how smaller my world was getting and how my views were being formed. During the years I have been active, my life has significantly transformed, and I have made awesome friends from around the world, some of whom are my best friends now.

My good experiences on Couchsurfing made it my go-to app when I want to travel or hang out with people where I live.

I am here to meet up with people who share similar interests whether we share the same values or not. I want to learn, see the world through their eyes and become the best human being I could become.

Overall, meeting cool people is fun, so that's also why I am here.

I genuinely love movies. I watch anything but horror though. Have watched 4000+ titles. Shawshank Redemption, the Pianist are two of my favourites. I love the Pirates of the Caribbean and Harry Potter as well.

Shameless and The Shield (2007) are my favourite shows.

Benjamin Franklin by Walter Isaacson, The Idiot by Dostoyevsky, and Continuous Discovery Habits are my favourite books.

Permanently moved 10,000 km away to Canada with just a small backpack! Imagine how I would travel 😄 I really plan everything but am also pretty agile and easygoing!
