HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When im not on the road, if there isn't room to stay, its not my house. I'm often travelling but my dog and I love guests. It's the best way to make friends!
Meeting in a bar is ok but, to really know someone is to cook breakfast with them. I've also been traveling for so many years that it's good to be able to give back and host other interesting people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been couch surfing since my early teens. not really picky (yet) I've graced hundreds of floors, couches, hammocks from mansions to shacks, beaches to river washes and am always grateful for those who host. It is that kindness and generosity that restores my faith in humanity..

Books: i like travel narratives and other spicy bio non fiction, interesting history, (music related history esp), sci/fi, absurd humor and fantasy or anything that gets my imagination going, Louis de Bernieres first trilogy, Ross McDonald, Lawrence Millman, Tom Robbins, Baron in the Trees.........

Music= Early Jazz and Blues, Rythym and Blues (this ain't your granddaughters R and B), Traditional Folk/World, Punk, Heavy Metal, (Thrash, NWOBHM, Doom, Pagan Black), Power Pop, Ragtime, 70s rock, Proto Metal, Acid/Psych Rock, Post Punk, Gothic, Country, Soul, Classical, Baroque, Chamber music, Renaissance, Ska and Rockstaeady, etc..love it on Vinyl.. I like to learn about new music and i can always turn you on to new music if you like!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Im still a bit amazed every time i hit a new town!

I've attended a Pirate themed wedding on a boat in Lahaina Bay off the coast of Maui, Ate Bull testes at a festival sponsored by female bikers, Got mock married in Makassar, I've Crash landed in a hot air balloon, I worked for a few years as a Beer tour guide, I've gotten to shake the hands of many musicians that have inspired me throughout my life, hitchhiking, always an adventure (if even just an Excercise in patience), was on several episodes of a Chinese Malaysian TV show called Motosikal, they even featured me playing my original music and used it in the soundtrack, something to be proud of..

Teach, Learn, Share

i like to trade songs and learn new styles of music and instruments, ill try to play whatever even though chemistry is a delicacy..I can try to play with anyone or teach you something if you like..

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can sing and play songs all night, know hundreds of jokes and limericks to swap, love to eat so I'm a creative cook when I have the space, lots of stories and experience. You want to play? Have a gig for me? I'm ready to play..
