About Me

Hey All,
My name is Reba and I’m a 25 year old adventure- seeking, wanderlust-filled, old soul. I love the outdoors, reading, wine, meeting new people, hiking, and anything adventurous. I'm always up to try new things in new places! Got a suggestion on something cool to do in my travels? Let me know I’d love to hear it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling is expensive and hotels are impersonal. I love learning the real culture of the places I travel to and I find the best way to do that is to meet the people that actually live in the area. I love making new friends with my host and hope that one day I can offer my couch to them. I couch surfed many times with friends while living in New Zealand and it offered me the chance to meet more of the locals and to gain a deeper understanding of their daily culture.

Interests

I'm not into the tourist-trap way of life. One thing I've learned in my travels, they're the same all over the world. I'd rather experience the local hangouts and the local way of life. I love being in the outdoors and am perfectly content with a place to hang my hammock and pleasant company. I love people and their stories.

Music, Movies, and Books

I usually go between non-fiction books about travel, the world and culture to adventure-filled fantasies. Harry Potter is obviously my favorite (Prisoner of Azkaban to be exact).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I tell most people that the most amazing thing I have done is travel. However, in a network of like minded travelers, that's fairly normal.
What's not so normal? I head-butted a shark and lived -- not necessarily on purpose, but I'm alive. The say everything in Australia is trying to kill you, but on that dive I was allowed to live.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Wine and good company.

Countries I’ve Visited

Japan, Mexico, Panama, Singapore

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, New Zealand, United States
