About Me

Well, yeah. I was born in Mexico City but I prefer to say that I'm a world citizen who just hapened to be born in this side of the globe.
I would describe me as short, caring, spicy. Sincerely respectful, adaptable, independent, multiphasetic and, I think, creative.
Pet friendly (specially cats!), gay friendly... simply good hearted people friendly!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've done couchsurfing in the old style, you know, just giving a space to a friend of a friend in my house or borrowing somebody else's couch, but I want to start doing it in a more proper and relaiable way and, even if I'm new on CS, I know is the path to follow :)
Being somebody who travels mainly by myself, I've stayed in hostels most of the time but during my last trip, I came to the conclusion that as much as I like that way of traveling, I've missed opportunities to meet and hang out more with local people and that's something I DEFINITELY want to change. Of course, I won't deny that the idea of saving some bucks it's very attractive, however, my main reason is getting deeper into the real culture of the place I'm visiting.

As for potencial guests, right now it's dificult for me to offer a space since I live partly in Mexico City and Playa del Carmen. I cannot host in Mexico City but I'll be happy to take guests when I'm in Playa.
I find a honest pleasure on helping and sharing about my culture and the place I live in and I'm more than interested on anything you can share about yours :)

Interests

Obviously traveling! I haven't done it as much as I would like to, but I'm working to change that. Since my first solo trip back in 2011, I try to travel abroad at least once a year and, like with many of you, has become an adiction. I love traveling on my own because I've found easier to make friends that way, however, of course, I've enjoyed it when I've had the chance to share it.
I love photography; seeing it and taking it. I actually took the ones on my profile. I can't say I'm good at it, but I truly enjoy doing it

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I don't think quiality of music is attached to it's genre, therefore I'm open to almost any type. I love dancing, so, most of my musical taste gravitates around that. I truly enjoy a good electronic set while driving, flamenco gives me the goosebumps and at some point I found arab music so appealing that I took some belly dance classes. I love any kind of world beat that heartedly represents its origens.

Movies: I like what I believe to be 'intelligent mood'. Directors like Woody Allen, Cohen Brothers, David O. Russell, Alejandro González Iñárritu. Definitely not into action movies or cheek fleeks.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in Mexico City and being just 19 y.o, I went to Playa del Carmen (a beach town near Cancun) planning to stay just for 3 weeks. I came back to Mexico City one year later... just to pick up the rest of my stuff and move to Playa for good. I'm not sure if that's amazing or simply crazy, but yes, I did that...

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not a formal teacher but I love teaching Spanish! If you are interested and we have time, I would be more than willing to teach you by having conversations or even pulling out a dictionary or do a research, for you to learn :) .
Do you like Salsa dancing?? Again, not a professional dancer but lucky me I was born with latina rythm, so, if you want, I'll be more than happy to show you a few steps :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

As basic as it sounds, I say I can offer common sense. It's obvious that if I use it, I clean it; if I moved it, I put it back in it's place. As much as I would like to hang out, if I see you are busy or simply want to be by yourself, I will not bother. I will be looking forward to know any advice about the area and if you want to join me during those activities, you'll be more than welcome. If you do not, I have zero problems with that.
Beyond that, hopefully some laughter, wine, good conversations and adventures :)
