About Me

I was born in the states but my parents are Venezuelan and Ecuadorian.

I'm living in Spain for the year as a volunteer in a foster home. Next year I'll be going to Tufts University in the US.

Fanatic of tea, exploring the outdoors, meeting people, and good times.

I like to draw and paint, workout, and travel.

I can't host anyone because I live with a host family here in Madrid:(

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

Bel Canto, by Ann Patchett

Sone bands and artists I like: the Beatles, Cage the elephant, portugal. the man, arctic monkeys, Moon taxi, the killers, family of the year, glass animals, childish gambino, etc (but I listen to almost everything).

And some music in Spanish: Juanes, Jessye & Joy, Carlos Vives, Calle 13

Movies: The Grand Budapest Hotel, Moonrise Kingdom (I love Wes Anderson) , Birdman, the Proposal, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I slept in a tent in the Sahara desert for two nights (with a guide). I rode a camel, snowboarded down sand dunes, and got to see more stars than ever before at night. I ate more tagine and pita bread than should be humanly possible and woke up early to climb a sand dune and see the sunrise over the Sahara.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to share my experiences and background; I have a unique perspective as I have grown up with my parent's Latin American background but spent most of my life in the state of Alabama.

I also want to learn all I can about the places I visit.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm very friendly and a good listener. I can teach you how to make a Spanish tortilla (I just leaned how) and share stories about my travels within and outside of Spain! I'm down for all kinds of adventure--or just having a nice chat.
