About Me

Olá!
My name is Rebeca and Im a brazilian traveler.

I've been traveling around the world by myself since 16 years old, when I went alone to Vancouver, Canada, to live for a year and a half throught an exchange program. For me, this was an amazing experience, that opened my mind in multiple ways...I did a lot of hiking, skiing and road trips around Canada and the west coast of USA with the family that was hosting me and that pushed me to start taking buses to reach some other places that I wanted to see by myself, and noticed that travel was a passion. Since then, I'm always searching for new experiences and to learn more about the world and all the different ways of life.
Im am currently living with my mother in Brasília, but any free time I get, I plan a trip (or dont plan, just choose a place and go).

I’m an environmental engineer, graduated by the University of Brasília. My research area is WASH (water, sanitation and hygine), looking specially to rural and traditional communities. I also have a lot of interest in visual art and music. Im a photografer and video jockey, love to draw and paint and I am currently trying to learn to play some instruments (pandeiro e triângulo - brazilian instuments). In my journeys, each time I learn something new about myself and will always be in this research of self knowledge.

I did a lot of couchsurfing in my journeys (mostly thought facebook groups (girls that travel alone/ couchsurfing in europe) or by indication of friends - thats why I dont have many reviews) and its always the best option to exchange cultures, knowledge and see the city with a local eye... in a lot of times, the experience bacame the best part of the trip... so I’m always oppened for it! I also hostes people from other places, mostly when I was living in Europe and had my own place. Right now, Im planning on openning my home in Brasilia to receive travelers as well!

So, if you can host me in during some time, I hope we have a lot of fun and exchange a lot in our time together!! Also, if you dont feel like hanging out, its busy, its ok! I would love to take your local tips and explore your city with a local eye ✨

Grata!!
