Overview
About Me
I was born in Curitiba, Brazil and moved to the US when I was 1 year old. I grew up in Fresno, California, and went to university in Boston, Massachusetts. I have a BA is in Peace and Justice Studies. I spent my junior year studying abroad-- in Accra, Ghana and in Hong Kong. I love traveling, dancing, cooking, hiking, swimming, and meeting new people. I am a free spirit, an adventurer, I trust my gut and follow my heart. I believe in the good in people but also that we will in a very very messed up world. My dream is to be happy and make others happy. I want to impact communities through combining the arts and education and teach kids to think critically about oppression, power, identity, and social justice.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think whoever had this idea and came up with this site is a genius. I'm on here because love meeting new people everywhere we go. I like to live simply, save money, get the best tips of what to do, and most importantly learn to appreciate and gain a sense of the depth of humanity. I love to hear stories, to tell stories, to learn from each others' life experiences. I am humbled to have the opportunity to share memories with strangers (who become friends) with just as welcoming and opening arms as myself.
Interests
Dancing, acting, singing, music, cooking, playing with kids, the beach, the mountains, jungles, snorkeling, swimming, reading, camping.
I love all types of dance. I grew up with some background in musical theater and jazz and tap, and now I mostly dance salsa, bachata, merengue, any Latin dance really, and I am learning traditional Ghanaian dance, capoeira and hip hop, and am trying to learn kizomba!! Can you teach me some new moves?! I would love to teach you!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love oldies from the 50s and 60s, Latin music, r&b and hip hop. Pretty much anything I can dance to!
Movies-- anything but horror. My favorite is School of Rock.
Books-- Anything that will inspire me, or transport me to another world. I like reading about bad ass activists, about magical worlds, about normal people who struggle and make mistakes and love, really anything that can keep me engaged. I would love to hear your recommendation!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Backpacking from Capetown, South Africa to Nairobi, Kenya by public transport, hitchiking and pure will!
Teach, Learn, Share
That's what I live for!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm very neat and tidy, I promise to keep everything the way I found it- and I'll even gladly tidy up or organize anything in your home for you! I can cook, teach you salsa or bachata, talk with you about the world for hours, be a shoulder to cry on... Honestly though, I'm willing to help out in anyway that I can! So grateful for you kind people with generous hearts!
