Overview
About Me
I'm an outdoors-loving, vegetable enthusiast from Wisconsin, USA heading into my second year of college at Brown University.
I'm into loving the planet, living lightly, and seeing all of the amazing things humans have created. I took a gap year after graduating high school and it definitely significantly fostered my adventurous side. During my time off I worked with a conservation corps in the American Southwest, sold tools and hardware at Home Depot, and interned for a coffee cooperative in Nicaragua.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet some really cool people and have some really cool experiences. I've wwoofed and lived with a host family in the past and they were both amazing experiences. There's really no better way to get to know a place than to stay with people who are from there.

Music, Movies, and Books
Ever since I first read it in seventh grade, my favorite book has been (and probably always will be) Pride and Prejudice. I'm also a fan of Harry Potter, Wild Swans, and The History of Love. I genuinely enjoy reading 18th century classic literature and biographies. My favorite "spirituality" book is Tattoos on the Heart.
I love, love, love The Sound of Music.
My favorite TV shows right now are Jane the Virgin, Suits, and Parenthood. I'm also a shameless fan of Survivor.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been super lucky and had the opportunity to do some really amazing things, but the one that stands out the most is working with a conservation corps. Three plus months of working, eating, and living outdoors in some of the most amazing scenery on the planet. Truly the best thing I've ever done, and the most formative.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm really into outdoorsy stuff and sustainability. I'm also fascinated by the arctic and have been thinking about effective altruism/moral philosophy lately if anyone happens to be interested in anything along those lines.
I'd jump at the chance to practice my Spanish (I was somewhat fluent at one point, but haven't regularly spoken it in a year and a half). I'm also more than willing to practice English with people because learning a second language is hard.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can probably cook some yummy plant-based food for you!
