Overview
About Me
I'm a Mid-Western transplant currently living in Los Angeles. I currently work for Los Angeles Unified School District as a Psychiatric Social Worker. I graduated with my Master of Social Work in May of 2017 from USC. I spend my free time taking yoga, rock climbing at the Touchstone gyms out here and camping/climbing outdoors whenever I can get away on the weekends. If I'm not outside, I can usually be found at home surrounded by my community, kitten and house plants.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Now that I've started working on a school schedule, I have breaks and holidays off (yay!) which allows me the time to travel (double yay!). I have a long list of places I want to visit and would love to be able to visit via Couchsurf. Getting to know a place through locals is the most special, and I'd love to return the favor for those visiting LA in the future.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite music changes a lot. On my phone you'll currently find Fleetwood Mac, Mountain Man, Laura Marling, The National, Joanna Newsom, Fleet Foxes, Neutral Milk Hotel, Noname, Dr. Dog, Edward Sharpe, David Bowie and Modest Mouse.
Favorite books: Siddhartha, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Alchemist, anything Pema Chodron, The Red Tent.
Movies is a harder category. I'm a sucker for Wes Anderson and Tim Burton. Favorite Wes Anderson movie is The Royal Tenenbaums.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing I've done so far has been driving cross country (East to West) with all of my belongings, camping along the way and experiencing the beauty of Colorado and Utah for the first time.
