About Me
Hello, I have lived, worked and raised my son in Brisbane, Australia. I enjoy walking, listening to live music, cooking, eating and drinking with friends and family. I treasure my family and friends, including many dog friends. Over the years I've hosted many international students in Brisbane learning English. These relationships have been wonderful and opened up our world. I love meeting people from other countries and learning how diverse this wonderful world is.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined couchsurfing to meet people from around the world and to see how 'real' life is lived. It's challenging to get to know a place from a hotel. Although hostels and Airbnb have their place, I like to make connections with people.
Interests
Cooking, gardening, drinking delicious wine, cooking, eating what other people have cooked, walking, swimming, reading, listening to music, watching movies.
Music, Movies, and Books
Books sustain me - some favourites include Catch 22, Capital, To Kill a mocking bird, Don Quixote.
Big on binge TV - True Detective, Empire, The Wire, Rome, The Bridge, Borgen, Narcos - too many to list.
Music tastes are eclectic - currently enjoying my Camino Playlist. Thank you to Wilco, Joni Mitchell, Kayne, Common, Paul Kelly, Leon Bridges, Frazey Ford & Leonard Cohen for getting me through the last few kms of a long Camino day.
