About Me

I try to see and experience the world through as many lenses as possible

I live to learn, to experience, to explore, and to understand knew ways of thinking. The world is full of so many incredible and inspiring people who I would love the opportunity to get to know and to share experiences with. I am eternally grateful to each person and community that has opened my eyes to a new perspective and reshaped my passion for life.

I started traveling at a young age. Exchange student in Germany at age 15. Later studied on scholarship at a two-year international school in Hong Kong called Li Po Chun United World College. Went back to US for college, only to take academic leave to go back to China for almost 2 years.

Most of 2015, I was in Germany doing research on local transitions to sustainable energy.

Starting in April 2016, I'll be in DC for an internship with the Heinrich Boell Foundation.

My Philosophy:

Life is only meaningful if you make it meaningful for others

"As our circle of knowledge expands, so does the circumference of darkness surrounding it." - Albert Einstein

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The first time I couchsurfed I absolutely looooooved it. I stayed with the most wonderful lady and her daughter just outside of Milan. Her town was lovely and she was so hospitable. I've enjoyed every surfing/hosting experience that I have had through couchsurfing.

Couchsurfing has been a beautiful experience each time I have stayed or hosted (dozens of times at least). I am not interested in hosting people who just want a place to stay for a night, but am much more open to those who are curious, adventurous, and interesting in a cultural exchange – what I believe the mission of couchsurfing is all about.
