About Me
Hello! I'm Rebecca Barbara!
I'm a Masters student from Utrecht University in The Netherlands. My degree is called Bio-Inspired Innovation- where I look to nature as model, measure and mentor for how the world could be redesigned. I've got this thing for learning how nature does things and how we could catch on and do it the same non-harmful way.
I am an enthusiast with a curious mind. I am inspired by the natural world and my heart pains to see it destroyed. I am in Wellington, New Zealand for an internship in sustainable architecture, looking for a room, a home..but a couch for now.
Vegan.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm here because I believe we can all get by with a little help from our friends.
And because sometimes a couch in a home is better than a bed in a hostel.
Interests
I play the piano, I garden, I bake, I dive. I have experience teaching. I can sew. I can knit. I LOVE to hike. I am patient. I show care. I am driven by design with an eye for detail.

Currently, I am reading Home Going by Yaa Gyasi and Creative Confidence by Tom and David Kelley. Inspired by the Australian talent of Julia Jacklin and Angie McMahon.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I climbed Table Mountain six times in one day and raised R11 000 for a charity event...The amazing part is that my body still managed to keep me walking the next day.
