About Me

Hi! I'm a 21 year old girl from England currently studying for one year at Lund University in Sweden, and during this year I plan to travel around Scandinavia as much as I possibly can. I love to hike, meet new people and explore new places, and this year I'm also trying to learn to speak Swedish.

In the past I've travelled both alone and with friends, and couchsurfing has always been such a positive experience for me where I've been able to do it. I'm incredibly enthusiastic to try new things and explore behind the scenes of the places I go to, and I feel that the best way to get to know a country properly is to (quite literally) move in with the locals.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people, explore new cultures and have a good time.

Interests

I am currently carrying out a research project in a laboratory at Lund University, where we are looking at how stem cells can be used to help the brain recover from a stroke. I also enjoy meeting new people, animal conservation, hiking, reading, and going to music festivals.

Music, Movies, and Books

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 4 I broke my arm in a theme park, and when I turned 18 I received some money from the theme park as compensation. I spent it all on a round-the-world plane ticket, travelling to 10 countries in 5 continents over the course of a year.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can do my very best to show you some English culture, such as the slang we use, and how to make one of our best desserts, flapjacks!

What I Can Share with Hosts

A positive outlook and a passionate interest in new people- I love hearing stories about where you've been, what you've done and where you're going next. I can also offer you advice if you intend to travel somewhere that I've been, or even if you're heading to the UK, where I usually live.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Belgium, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cyprus, Fiji, France, Germany, Iceland, Malaysia, New Zealand, Norway, Panama, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
