About Me

Hey eh! It's your friendly Canadian coming at you from the land of maple syrup and sorrys. Just got back from 4 months travelling abroad and I've met so many amazing people. Lots of crazy stories and wild rides. All of which I hope to continue in Montreal! I haven't even lived here long, always on the go, but I want to continue exploring as much as I can!

I don't think that life should be taken too seriously. Laughing at yourself can be the best medicine. There's nothing more enjoyable than laughing so hard your abs hurt and you're on the verge of tears.

Music is everything. It's an escape, joy, excitement. I love to sing and play guitar as well (learning piano). I used to be able to play piano so well as a child but I gave it up and now I have to start from scratch #ragrats (get the reference?)

SURFERS:

So I can't add a description in the home section BUT for a little insight, it is me & my three roommates; Alexis (a hilarious French boy), JP (a cool Québécois) and Pari (a cute little Persian). We have all travelled and want to give back by hosting some surfers!

We have an awesome apartment (has a hottub!) situated in one of the coolest neighbourhoods in the heart of the city of Montreal; Le Plateau. It's close to all bars, parks and everything happening in the city. Not to mention 5 minute walk from two metros! We have two couches, one of which turns into a bed therefore there is room for three comfortably. We also have pillows and blankets so no need to worry for that! :)

A couple of basic "rules" if you will:

1) Try to shut off the lights whenever you leave or if they're not in use. We're living with four people so the electricity bill can add up ;p

2) It would be cool if you could store the sheets/sleeping bags/pillows provided under the bed the next morning because it still is our living room and it's nice to have that area available during the day to sit and chill.

3) I have sheets and if you could use them to cover the sofa before bed that would be awesome; trying to keep the sofa in tact for as long as possible!

4) Lastly, all pots/pans/cups etc are available to you, but all we ask is you clean up afterwards. Clean places = Happy faces (I totally just made that up right now hahah)

PS: We can't host for weeks at a time; too many cooks in the kitchen. If you read this write: good vibes only in your message to me. Also try to make your message original/personalized. Remember it's not air B&B ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined because a friend had mentioned it to me. I had never heard of it before considering I had never gone travelling before, but once I found out about I fell in love with the concept. I've been to multiple cs events and met so many amazing, open-minded and diverse people. It's something that I find can be the most rewarding thing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bought a ticket to Hydra, Greece, return trip with no accommodation planned. Arrived and realized the entire island was booked. Literally was Cast Away 2.0 (okay not at all literal).

Felt like the amazing race when my friend and I bought a ticket from Berlin to Prague and had to run for our lives to make it for the bus with 4 minutes to spare! It was a sweaty mess after that hahah.

Dressed up, partied and danced the day away at Carnival in Maastricht, Netherlands where I jumped off public statues in the streets to then crowd surf.

I packed up my things and moved to a big city not knowing anyone if I would have a job or a home. Didn't know how things would turn out. I'm a risk taker and I believe it can bring big reward!
