CURRENT MISSION

I have a little white car that I paint up with quotes and messages, right now it says CALL YOUR MOM! And, 1 Happy Car. We put a sticker on for every state we travel to. My car gets smiles and waves and helps start conversations. Even the kids paint!

ABOUT ME

I'm a stay at home mother of five aged 9-16. I go to rainbow gatherings and run a site called Call Your Mom on FB, advocating and reaching out to young travelers who are on the road 24/7/365. I love camping, hiking, creeks and music. And read incessantly! I like to make people smile and try to inspire kindness by driving a car painted up with positive messages- there is a fruit loop toucan riding my roof this week and the messages always bring smiles and good conversations. It inspires kindness. I love this life! Nature and people, learning and growing, traveling as much as I can and staying true to my path- a somewhat buddhist path. Raising kids who are beautiful and kind human beings is a perfect life. I'm a vegetarian and a doula and enjoy helping other mothers.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm your everyday average conqueror of the universe. I am being the change I wish to see. My dream is to attend more regional gatherings so that I can reach out to more kids- and also raise my children to be loving and awake. I plan on staying single so that when my children are grown I can volunteer internationally.

This is my first time on the site although I am in the rainbow family guide as a host.

Interests

Camping, music, being a mama, reading, traveling to national forests all over the country, rainbow family gatherings. Volunteering and helping out street kids. Smiling at strangers and spreading kindness. Lets get EVERYONE doing it!! I think this site is fantastic and had started something kind of like it on FB. I think this idea is very exciting. People reaching out to people. It's the future.

Music, Movies, and Books

I will read anything. Shampoo bottles! I eat books up at a rate of one a day quite often. Movie? What Dreams May Come... Harold and Maude. Tv? Through the Wormhole but I'm not an avid tv fan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I help birth babies- and had my son Ian on my own, without a midwife or dr. That experience made me so strong!! I visited Yellowstone this year and was brought to my knees by the beauty.
