About Me

I am a student of Translation and Interpreting at the University of Genoa, in Italy. I grew up in a small village surrounded by nature in Umbria, in central Italy. Maybe that's why now I really enjoy medium and big cities :) .
During my studies I spent one year in France and another in the UK. I really enjoyed those experiences and I think they helped me a lot in developing good communication and adaptation skills.
I am a really outgoing person and I always like to meet new people from different backgrounds. I am really curious and I really like to travel, even if I am always on a tight budget (average student problems :)).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to meet locals because I think it's the only way to get closer to the real soul fo a place. I don't want be a tourist, I'd like to be a traveller.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to almost every kind of music even if my soft spots are indie and rock. I love going to concerts because I really like watching people performing on stage. At the moment I am listening to Bear's Den, Daughter and a lot of Italian alternative rock. If you want to know something more about Italian Indie, I am here to help :)
My favourite disney cartoon is Mulan and I can't really say what is my favourite film. Probably it will be something like "Notting Hill" or "The Consequences of Love" by Paolo Sorrentino.
My favourite books are "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" by Milan Kundera, "Gli indifferenti" by Alberto Moravia and "Animal Farm" by Orwell.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

20th December: I missed my flight to go back to Italy for the Christmas break. I took few trains to reach Edinburgh, which was 300 miles away from where I lived, I spent the night watching series at the airport and finally boarded my flight home less than 24 hours later.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some Italian or French, if you like.
I also would like to share my knowledge about Italian recipes. You will taste the best lasagne ever :D

What I Can Share with Hosts

More than just a few Italian meals, I can offer my genuine curiosity about other cultures and the love for everything that's new to me. I am really sociable and I always like to meet new people and discover new places.
