I live ten minutes from Portland, OR. I enjoy cooking, thrift store shopping, listening to audiobooks, sitting in the sunshine at the beach, attending concerts, the ballet, and musical theater, hiking, rock climbing, and spending time with my Akita. I am a dog groomer by profession. Personal goals include seeing as much of the world as possible, becoming a published author, buying a house, becoming a foster parent, finishing my English degree, and supporting myself by teaching English in South America or Asia.

I am a movie lover, particularly of historical dramas, musicals, and biographies. I am an avid reader. Lately, I've been reading a lot of cookbooks and novels that were awarded The Booker Prize, and the classics are always a reliable fallback.
