Hello! I'm Rebecca and I'm from the UK. I am currently on a 'world trip' with my boyfriend Sam. We quit our jobs in 2016 to travel to Central America, South America, New Zealand, South East Asia and Southern Africa. My interests include cats (all animals really), cooking, art, museums and making new friends!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm currently on a 'trip of a lifetime' and so far I have found that the absolutely best way to get to know a place is through a local. So I am hoping to get a better insight into the places I am visiting!

Music, Movies, and Books

When people ask what my favourite music is I always have that annoying answer of 'a bit of everything'. It's pretty true though as I love reggae and ska, 1970s British punk, 90s pop music, electro and house from the 00s, Motown... the list goes on!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I climbed up a volcano to 4,000 feet with 5 litres of water, a tent and sleeping bag on my back, in one day. It was hot, then freezing, vertically up and mostly through scree. I thought so many times I couldn't make it... but I did! And the views were worth it.

I have intermediate French and basic Spanish, but I am always looking to improve both.
I can teach English!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love cooking and will be so happy to cook for my hosts.
I am a native English speaker and have taught English as foreign language in France, so will be very happy to help any hosts with their English language.
I'm great with pets and will be extremely happy to help out with animals!
