Grew up outside of New York and moved to the San Francisco Bay Area for grad school, where I enjoyed being a stereotypical Californian/ Berkeley resident (hiking in the mountains, rock climbing, yoga, farmer's markets, cooking healthy food, fermenting things, political protests, advocating for social justice). In Fall 2017 I'm moving back to the East Coast but I am taking some time this summer to travel first!

Try to keep up with science fiction for my job but I will read anything and everything...

Music: I like Alt-J, Sia, Lianna La Havas, Janelle Monae, Radiohead, Feist, Jose Gonzales, Asgeir (excited to realize I know an Icelandic singer in preparation for upcoming travel!), Radiohead, Arcade Fire, Alabama Shakes.... And definitely in favor of Despacito and Selena Gomez's It Ain't Me as songs of summer.
