About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Taking advantage of every opportunity...

ABOUT ME

Really extraverted and adventurous. I barely ever sleep.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm 70% host and 30% surfer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a bunch of people since I joined in December 2012 and have surfed a few times. Every single experience has been interesting and has taught me something I didn't know before. I plan to continue doing this for a long time!

Interests

I very easily get caught up in projects that I can put my creativity into (which makes it very difficult to get my schoolwork done). I love making or putting a personal touch on anything I come across. I love to sing and dance. And I shop at thrift stores almost exclusively.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: The History of Love, The Lovely Bones, The Bell Jar, anyhting by Nancy McWilliams

Movies: As Good As it Gets, Grease, Closer, Batman Returns, Fight Club, and Notting Hill are long-time favorites. Movies that I've seen in the last couple years that I think could make my favorites list if I watch them enough: Gran Torino, Seven Pounds, This is England.

Shows: I don't have a TV, but I re-watch my box sets of SEINFELD almost continuously.

Music: Mostly 90s, alternative, or folk/acoustic stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to be a small part of Occupy DC. I used to spend a lot of time at the McPherson Square camp, although I only actually slept there one night (it was SO COLD!). I think the whole movement was really cool, bringing so many people together into a little community and just hanging out, enjoying each other, and thinking about the common good. And really, you can't beat a library where you don't need library cards!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm really into craft/art projects (which I think is pretty apparent from looking at my wild apartment). I love thrifting and making old things work in new ways.
