ABOUT ME

I'm an outgoing person who is fascinated by languages and travelling. Always keen to meet people and love people who have a good sense of humour and who love to travel too. I study Hispanic Studies and Linguistics at university and I lived for a year in the Basque Country, Spain, studying languages (Basque, German and French) and teaching English to children, working as an assistant for the British Council. It was amazing! In September I'm moving to Paris to work and improve my French.

Soy una persona abierta y me encantan los idiomas. Siempre tengo ganas de conocer a más gente, especialmente a la gente que tenga buen sentido del humor y que viaje también. Estudio filología hispánica y lingüística, y estuve un año en País Vasco, donde estudiaba lenguas (alemán, euskera y francés) y enseñaba inglés en un cole, haciendo mis prácticas con The British Council. Era una experiencia increíble :D. En septiembre me mudo a París para trabajar y mejorar mi francés.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't plan too much ahead - live the moment you're in. Bad things happen but they can lead you to treasure what you have and to understand that everything happens for a reason.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

There is nearly always have a couch available in my flat. I live with my lovely flatmate Miriam (who I have couchsurfed with before as well, in France!)- https://www.couchsurfing.org/people/miriam.black/ an two other female students.

Whenever I go travelling next I will definitely use couchsurfing in order to discover the place and its people in order to enrich my travelling experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only done it a few times but I really enjoyed myself through meeting some very interesting people and discovering more of the place where I was staying. I have only couchsurfed in various places in France, so would love to visit more places and meet more people through couchsurfing. Hosting is great fun as well - definitely a great way to meet interesting people.

Interests

Languages, books and reading, travelling, conversing in Spanish, linguistics, art, music, good coffee, French films, baking, looking at the stars, running, trying new food.
