About Me

CURRENT MISSION

See as much of Europe as possible! On the weekends. Because I already used all of my vacation days for the 6 months I am in Germany.

ABOUT ME

I am crazy, but the good kind. I am too tall, too energetic, and too easy-going-and-uber-adaptable to be something less than crazy! You never know where I will show up next, and I always say yes to any proposed adventure! I would love to visit you, live a bit of your culture, see your history, pubs, clubs, and anything else that I can! Lastly, my current permanent base of operations is Fort Collins, CO, USA, which was number one rated place to live in the US a few years back according to the NY Times or something...... come visit me!

PHILOSOPHY

Regret-free, I make my choices and maximize them well. Diversity inspires growth.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I think the hotel racket is just that, so hope instead to meet some awesome people during my own adventures and perhaps have some awesome people visit me in Dusseldorf or (starting Dec. 2012) Fort Collins!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Interests

I am a chemist. When I am not being a chemist, I travel. When I am not being a chemist or travelling, I am sleeping.

My favorite way to see a city is by bicycle, I love good food and making it, I can probably drink you under the table but prefer not to try, and I am scared of virtually nothing (and any fear I do have I must confront).

I love people and new people and foreign places and getting lost and blending in where I don't belong (I may look German, but mein Deutch ist nicht gut).

Music, Movies, and Books

I love classical literature but also enjoy sci-fi and philosophy and other. I will watch any movie, but prefer action, and consume a diverse range of music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think AWE may be an overly applied word. I have some crazy stories though that may come close to the description. I've spent the night on the Placa Catalunya in Barcelona because I missed my international flight home. I've spontaineously couch-surfed (unofficially) when I took the wrong (local) train into Germanic farmland at 23:00 on my way to Paris. But generically, life can be AWEsome, and I try to make every moment be such! Seriously, life and each moment thereof is subjective, and the right perspective can make every day an adventure. Take it from the girl who dances to her ipod while waiting for the metro......

Teach, Learn, Share

If you want to know how to synthesize caffeine, I can show you. If you are doing an etimological study of European languages, I would love to help! Mostly, I like to learn in all environments and share my own random knowledge accordingly.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Peru, Slovenia, Spain, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, United States
