Overview
About Me
Always looking for wonderful conversation, company, food, and sights.
I love an honest conversation, I also appreciate silence when there's nothing to be said.
I just graduated school, left work, moved out of my house and came to Japan for a month. I'll return to the US and continue traveling before settling into a new job in a new city.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The best part of traveling is making connections with people.
Interests
Vegetarian, mostly for the environmental impact.
New nurse, working to put "employed" in front that.
I'm obsessed with roller derby (a contact sport played on roller skates).
Not terrible at Ultimate Frisbee.
Ideal social scene: small group setting. I flit between introvert and extrovert.

Music, Movies, and Books
Indie/Alternative music: I like live music. Folky, indie, rock, some EDM. Known to dance. The best music performances I have seen are Sigur Ros and Neutral Milk Hotel.
TV and movies are a rare occurrence. X-Files, Great British Baking Show, roller derby footage.
I read so-so novels for the thrill.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I jumped in a Norwegian fjord on Christmas. It was a bit chilly.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: vegetarian or vegan cooking, roller skating, very basic sewing and domestic homemaker skills, English language
Learn: everything! Tell me about your favorite hobby. I'd really like to learn more about sustainability, living self-sufficiently, and the outdoors. Gardening, home maintenance, carpentry, mycology, backpacking are all up my alley.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories, home cooked meal, cleanliness, possibly a different world outlook. I tend to have a very logical, calm viewpoint, which I'm told can be very refreshing and great for advice.
