About Me

Hello! I'm a Canadian traveler just starting out on my first solo trip abroad. In the next couple months I hope to settle down in Berlin and hopefully be able to host some couch surfers there.

I grew up in a small town in the interior of British Columbia, but I've called Vancouver home for almost 3 years. I'm travelling to learn more about the world outside the North American bubble and meet people from different cultures.

I'm easygoing, friendly, and respectful. Independent by nature, but I love getting to know people beyond small talk.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people and gaining local perspectives while traveling.

Interests

Being in nature, discovering cities, art and live music are all things that interest me. I'm a strong believer in the power of self-knowledge and stepping out of one's comfort zone. My interests are limitless as I'm constantly seeking new passions. Always down for some good food and conversation.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have too many musical obsessions to list.... I grew up on classic rock, but lately have been listening to a lot of punk, psych, and art rock. One of my favorite concert experiences was seeing Patti Smith perform in San Francisco on her birthday.

Anything outside of the typical blockbuster genres has my attention. Art films, documentaries, and sketch comedy series are some of my favorites.

I like to read a wide range of books, mostly fiction and memoirs. Kurt Vonnegut is one of my favorite writers, and I love anything that combines genuine emotions with a sense of humour.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A friend and I started a tie dye clothing business, and sold our wares on the boardwalk in Kelowna BC. Being our own bosses and seeing our vision come to fruition was eye-opening and life-changing.

Can recommend some great books, movies, tv series, and music!
