COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I love the concept of couchsurfing - how it is based on that trust between strangers who have never met, and how it taps on the goodness in people. It has been a lovely experience to be able to share what i have with others, and forge a few friendships along the way. I love how different paths crossed through CS, and how it allows us to splatter some colors on that big life canvas of the people met, and have mine painted on as well :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to a village in Laos a year back for a humanitarian trip. There's nothing out of the ordinary about that place, the simplicity of the life and the people there is captivating. The people are in poverty, but there is so much joy in them. They do not have safe drinking water, and have to trek for 3-4 hours each time to get to the nearest water point. Most children I met do not have proper shoes nor clothes that fit them. When I was there, I met a boy there who was blind in one eye from an infection. He looks different from the other kids, but his physical appearance didn't stop his peers from hanging out with him and loving him like everyone else. That love and joy I saw in everyone I met there was like a little piece of heaven for me. That week and a half in Laos changed my life, and God showed me then that He wants me to serve a community like this. To have known God and seen His love for the children in that small village in Laos is probably the most amazing for me :)
