About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To love in the midst of anything and anyone. To be content. To live well, with peace and hope.
ABOUT ME
Presently my Husband and I live in Franklinton, a paradoxical and fascinating neighborhood on the West Side of Columbus where I work (6 blocks from home) at a holistic community development organization. The forces of restoration, gentrification, poverty, addiction, loyalty and beauty rage for attention here.
As a young woman I live in a world of great opportunity not by choice but by consequence of where I was born and what I've been given (namely, for cs purposes, the chance to travel and the chance to study at university).
I have come across a man named Jesus who I can't seem to forget. As a result, I'm currently doing my best to respond to Him. This usually means figuring out the best way to love the people around me.
Captivated by an intense desire for justice and peace, the study of Conflict Transformation and non-violent resistance took over my studies. Geographically, I aim for the Middle East.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I intend to host as many people as I can. I think I've been gifted with hospitality. I like to create safe places for others to be...
I also look forward to knowing other CSers. All the ones I know so far are simply excellent.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have hosted a few lovely people and been hosted. Community is the stuff of life. Couchsurfing extends the friendly hospitality arms of community.
Interests
I like to make beautiful and peaceful spaces. This often includes cleaning and re-organizing the house!
I am a peacemaker in training (I am especially drawn to the Christian-Muslim conflicts) and, therefore, a listener in training.
