About Me

I'm a middle child from a family of nine.

Before I got my engineering degree, I worked as a daycare assistant, babysitter, maid, flower shop assistant, janitor, cashier, jewelry counter cashier, ticket office attendant, and undergraduate teaching assistant to pay my way through college.

Now I work in automation and logistics. These days, I mostly just work a lot, run a lot, and hike whenever I can. I don't stay up late, and I generally like to stay in at night.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Honestly? The concept is neat and it sounds like it has the potential to be a great experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I grew up listening to Brand New and Taking Back Sunday, but I can enjoy nearly any music (jazz, hip-hop, classic rock, pop, rap, metal, noise rock, etc...)

Books: Ender's Game, Chronicles of Amber, Dragonlance, and books by David Weber and Terry Pratchett are among my favorites

Movies: I prefer horror movies, but some other movies I've enjoyed the Marvel movies, Serenity, Mrs. Doubtfire, Matilda, Cool Runnings, Braveheart, Dirty Dancing, and Love Actually

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmm. I've ran 62 miles in one go. Does that count? I'm training to run my first 100-miler this year.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can talk with anyone about the ins-and-outs of running. Whether you're a beginner and want to learn how to make running bearable...and eventually fun, or a veteran, who wants to share their running experiences with me, I'll happily discuss health and fitness with anyone who's interested.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I believe in being a grateful guest, whether I'm staying with family or complete strangers. I'm a bit quiet, but I'll clean up after myself, cook if applicable, happily treat my host to a meal, and help in any way that I can.
