About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn how to live a life.

ABOUT ME

I'm a shy, weird, nice aspiring writer with an impulsive streak and a desire to live all the life.

PHILOSOPHY

Oh hell, I don't know. Kindness is important, of course. Having a responsibility to other people, to animals, to the world. Realizing we're all connected, that individual ego is pretty ridiculous considering how insignificant we all are. Love and joy and passion are all good things. Learning and evolving are also essential. You know, the usual vague hippie shit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I have a place of my own, I'll gladly host. Right now I can only surf.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I almost couchsurfed in Mexico City but it didn't end up working out.

Interests

writing, reading, singing, playing guitar badly, community theatre, trying to be an activist while shy and disorganized, dogs, meeting weird people on the Internet

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I studied abroad with the Mexico Solidarity Network and learned about some amazing grassroots social movements, including the Zapatistas, the Panchos, and the Centro Autonomo in Chicago. Living with people who are building autonomous communities and fighting for control of their own resources was an incredibly powerful experience and one I'm still figuring out how to learn from.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love for someone to teach me to really play guitar instead of just awkwardly strum six chords or just to sing with me! I wish I had more skills I could teach... I'm pretty good at reading poetry out loud, if you want me to.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can give massages or let you play my guitar.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Italy, Scotland, Switzerland
