Overview
About Me
I am a 23years old student living in Leuven, a small but amazing city in Belgium with many students. Originally I'm from Wuerzburg (Germany ).
I love to travel and to hear stories about travelling.
Normally I'm more the quiet type, I don't often go to parties, I rather spend my time with friends or interesting people.
As my sister is travelling in New Zealand for one year, I can use her guitar, so I'm practising a lot, or I read in my free time. I also try to go running once a week.
Out of ethical reasons I eat only vegetarian food.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think travelling is not only about the places you visit, but also about meeting the people who live there and learn something about their culture.
Coutchsurfing is a good opportunity to meet locals and make friends all over the world.
I don't have much experience with couchsurfing yet, but the few people I met were great. I also stayed with a family I found on help-ex.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't listen to music very often, but I like oldies, or songs with nice guitar melodies.
My favourite movie is Amélie.
There are too many books I like to list them here, but of course Harry Potter is one of them :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There are so many things that are amazing to you when you travel.
One amazing thing I did was snorkelling with whale sharks. They are huge and beautiful creatures!
Another great experience was to camp with a good friend on the most amazing, white and empty beach in Myanmar. We had a bonfire in the evening, then slept under the stars and the full moon. In the middle of the night we went into the sea and there were lots of plankton and it sparkled and glittered around us when we moved!
Teach, Learn, Share
It's always useful to learn some phrases in foreign languages, right now I am trying to improve my Dutch and soon I would like to learn Spanish. I can teach you some words in German, if you want to I can tell you a really long german ballad from Friedrich Schiller called 'Die Buergschaft' (the hostage).
