About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To embrace every adventure that comes my way! (and take a photo!)

ABOUT ME

So, once a Geography Teacher in the UK ... and now an English Teacher travelling the world! ...

Finally getting to visit and explore all the fascinating places on Earth I once used to teach kids about in a classroom in England!

Fantastic! Putting my 'Geography teacher hat' in my suitcase!

I have lived in & taught English in Kazakhstan, India, Poland, and now I am teaching here in Cairo, Egypt. Next year... who knows where!...

PHILOSOPHY

1. Be Happy (change something if you're not)
2. Be kind (when you can, but don't be cruel)
3. Be loving (Always)
4. Have lots of laughs (Every day!)
5. Have a dance (Whenever, wherever)
6. Have a dream (and dare to do it!!!)
7. Family - Remember them
8. Friends - Make them... Old and new
9. Fun - Live it!
10. There are no rules!!! xxx

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

A lover of adventures, fun, travel and the unexpected!

Open to all manner of new experiences.

Love teaching English to all nationalities, and putting my 'Geography teacher hat' in my suitcase!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Love meeting people from all over the world.
Have met some cool and crazy (in a fun way!) people and would love to meet more.

Love hearing about other people's lives, what they love, what inspires and motivates them, what they care about, ... and all their travel and adventure stories too!

Interests

I love taking photos, (and am just getting to know my new tripod!).
I LOVE travel!!!!
I am a beginner knitter and am attached to my purple ball of wool...
I am learning Egyptian Arabic here in Cairo... Last year I was busy learning Russian in Kazakhstan! It's a great language! I have also spent time in India at the foot of the Himalayas teaching English to Tibetan refugees - an amazing experience!!
I also love mountain walking, camping, cycling, writing (my diary and other wordy bits!), reading (travel, biographies, novels and (sadly) grammar stuff...etc)
I also love a good game of chess, scrabble, or card games...
And chatting with a good cup of tea!!!
(or Tyskie - Polish beer!)
I love meeting new people and making new friends... and having fun!!
