Hi everyone!!
My name is Rebecca but you can call me Becky! I’m 22 years old and I come from Ravenna, a small seaside town in Italy. My mother tongue language is Italian but I also speak English, French, Spanish and Chinese. I’m a really open minded person and I love travelling and discovering new cultures. I’ve just graduated so right now I’m planning to travel as much as I can for next year before my MA starts. Till now I traveled mainly around Europe but my best experience ever was being in China for six months this year. I was attending the university there as an Overseas student because my BA was Chinese language, culture and society but luckily I had the chance to visit several places and I really felt in love with them. I met people from so many different countries and I felt so happy about it that I won't never forget it.
I consider myself a friendly, talkative (my friends say even too much!!) and empathetic person. In my spare time I love reading, writing, listening to music and spending time with my friends. I strongly believe in the Universe and I deeply respect Nature.
I’m really looking forward to live some new adventure so I hope to put myself out there, get out from my comfort zone and discover the world!!
Right now I’m planning to go first to Iceland or East-Europe around Mid-January till the very beginning of February.
After this short journey I want to go back to Asia, mainly Cambodia and Taiwan, February to the end of June.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

First of all because I hope to meet new people and develop my inner self! I want to see the world and discover new realities and I think this is a great way to meet new friends! Also I’m planning to travel a lot till June and since I’m still an university student, that means my finances are really really low 😂, it would be amazing for me to find a place where to stay without spending lots of money, in exchange of help or whatever a host needs!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Italian music, in particular the indie genre; I’m not too much into movies but I kinda prefer love stories or fantasy movies. I love reading, any kind of books, it depends on what I’m going through by the time I start a new book. Normally I read books that can inspire me in a precise moment and so be the wise advice I can listen to.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you Italian since it’s my mother tongue language, how to cook a real and good Italian pasta and anything you want to know about my country! 😍

From my experiences so far I learned that life requires an active attitude, otherwise you’re not leaving, just surviving. This means always trying to listen to people, spend time with them but also appreciate the time you’re alone because you have to know yourself. Always respect the others and try to think positive because eventually negativity can get to you so don’t get attached to bad thoughts but try to see the good in everything you do or experience. Be free and honest, that’s the key of happiness.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Anything they need, obviously according to the respect of myself. I can cook, clean, help with daily works...
