About Me

* walking the Camino aug 19 - sept 24 *

Living my day to day trying to connect a little more deeply - to myself, people & animals, the ~ mystery ~

I believe my purpose in life is to connect people to nature.

I worked in wilderness therapy for a couple years, thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail, and settled back into my hometown after. I started a sustainable products business and was elected to Town Council, so I’m really into sustainability, alternative transportation, & local economy. Now I’m working as a hiking guide + snowboard instructor, starting to guide forest bathing walks, and exploring my art practice.

Initially I got on Couchsurfing as a traveler when I was living abroad, but now I’m on here to welcome people into my home - to meet new friends and also to pay it forward for all the generosity and support I have received from strangers.

I’d love to host an artist retreat for a month :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling has become more about people than place for me and CS has allowed me to feel like im staying with a distant relative rather than a stranger and i love the amount of trust required

Music, Movies, and Books

Music- anything live. I grew up listening to an eclectic mix so I’m into it all but I’m pretty discerning about what’s “good”. Kruangbin is my favorite

Books- Tom Robbins is my favorite author, and I’ve been on a kick of his for the last few years.

Movies- I heart Huckabees; anything that fits more into the artful or meaningful category rather than entertaining

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

hitchhiked across Latvia in one day

Teach, Learn, Share

I can take you on a forest therapy walk. I can also share outdoor living methods & primitive skills like fire making and plant ID, wild foods and tea. I’m also wanting to start teaching drawing, painting, design basics.

I love learning new skills and crafts. I like learning and sharing recipes and learn your plant knowledge.

What I Can Share with Hosts

An adventure buddy for an activity or event you’ve wanted but have yet to do :) I’d also love to cook, do chores, help with a project, or paint for you. I love to be involved

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Canada, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Scotland, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In
