Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm about to have a few weeks of travelling solo in the States - first around Colorado for some trekking as everyone keeps raving to me about the colours at this time of year, before heading to Chicago for a stint of radio work and schmoozing at the Third Coast Festival. I'm really keen to couchsurf during my trip, especially in Colorado around Denver/Boulder/Colorado Springs and further into the Rockies. I'd love to meet people who are keen to join me on some adventures into the wild, or at least able to show me some good hiking trails over an old map and a pint.

Speech radio and podcasts like RadioLab and This American Life. That's what brings me Stateside in fact.

Long hikes with good friends.

I've got really into my ales recently. I love a strong hoppy IPA. That makes me sound like a hipster. But I'm not, because I don't have an edgy beard.

The sea. I love wearing wetsuits. (I call it my happy suit because I'm pretty cool)

Cycling. More a fan of the downhills, but I'll still give all I got to the ups.
