About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I like to live my life in balance in health and sustainability!

ABOUT ME

Being a single mom has definitely been a tough route, but I have the most awesome kids in the world, and things just have a way for turning out just fine. I work from home which has given me a lot of freedom and time to spend with the kids. Also, I'm lucky to have met the love of my life a couple of years ago, and now we're married! Tim and I are really easy going and mellow...make friends easy and are never bored. Life is an adventure, and this couchsurfing organization adds to the wonderful mystery :) Please be payment, phone and address verified with 3+ surfer references to be welcomed into our home for up to 3 days maximum. (If you email me without those items, then I will also assume you didn't read About Me.)

PHILOSOPHY: "What other people think of you is none of your business."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to show people around this beautiful San Francisco Bay area (when possible) ...and help them out with a comfortable place to stay :) Also, I would be interested in visiting places here or abroad...I've actually not been shown around as much in the U.S. as I have in foreign countries...so am really interested in getting to know my own country this way! Let me know if you like beer... we brew our own and can save a bottle for ya!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE: I've couch surfed down in L.A. and in San Diego...both places and hosts were really awesome! Can't wait to do it again :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh Brother Where Art Thou is my all time favorite movie. Currently I'm reading a couple books, "Cultural Wisdom" and "The Mastery of Love"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After 4.5 years of intensive programming through the Institute for the Achievement of Human Potential, we got our son to walk when doctors didn't think it was possible. I saw people who were deemed blind to see, and severely brain injured children speaking multiple languages...I'm amazed at the potential and healing possible in the human brain and body.

Teach, Learn, Share

Seems like my interests are ever changing... currently I'm into deep nature ecosystems, and am learning how to change my garden to be more organic and efficient. I love to figure out ways to be sustainable and good to the earth. Currently I'm enrolled in our local college's horticulture program in preparation for a certification.
