ABOUT ME

I desire honesty in all things. A somewhat skeptical optimist who craves the unknown. To say I'm funny seems trite so I will say I enjoy humour. I am footloose in my planning, but often think it through a bit before I actually do it. Socially I am better with one on ones or smaller groups than large ones, as I find it difficult to divide my attention so many ways. I have recently become a mother so my spontaneity has lessened but still very much there. I do not smoke cigarettes and rarely drink. I enjoy my life, all aspects of it. For example, if you were to walk into a bar you would be just as likely to encounter me dancing with a stranger as you would see me sitting alone enjoying a cold one. My most pleasurable interactions with people are the ones rooted in honesty and respect; an open mind yields a large life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I bulk of my surfing experience was in 2011, while hitch hiking across Canada. I have hosted only a few times since I've often lived in less than ideal situations to host.

Interests

Science, nature, sociology, traveling, camping, science fiction, performance art, photography, music, yoga, survival and wilderness skills, having a drink and a laugh with friends, accents, culture, beards, hula hooping, poi spinning.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to say I'll watch any film once. I enjoy comedies and documentaries with a runner up in horror.
Music has always been a factor in my life, so I try to appreciate any honest attempt to create it, in all of it's facets.
Books drive me. I love a good book and obsess over a great one. I'd taken a few university lit. courses and am alway game for talking theory or trading "must reads".
