CURRENT EDIT: I will be attending Jewelry Design (silversmithing) course at VCC from Sept to May 2025. I own a home but it's nowhere near Vancouver where I will need to stay. I will be like a fish out of water as I am a country girl at heart who is nervous about staying in the hustle and bustle of the city. I'm hoping to embrace city life and see if I can find a connection with hosts who will enjoy sharing their favorite funky experiences.

I am a gypsy free spirit, very kind and giving, very passionate about the environment and I love to get out into nature. Waterfalls and swimming holes, bumpy country roads, road trips. I like to drink wine on a quiet evening, listen to music, meet new people and learn about new cultures. I'm respectful and easy going. I am low maintenance and very clean. You won't have any problems at all with me staying--in fact you might even come home to a clean house and dinner cooked ;) I don't expect a tour guide but if you're able to take time to show me home I will appreciate it with a grateful heart!

2024 Update: Rent in Vancouver is crazy expensive and then I would need to purchase furnishings on top of it! It has been my dream for 25 years to take this course so I'm hoping to find calm places to stay throughout and can stay in my vehicle if needed.

Update:I'm traveling across South America for 6 months and prefer a more personal experience of meeting locals who can share the best spots to visit!

UPDATE: IVE BEEN BACK IN CANADA FOR ONE YEAR. I GAVE MY RESTAURANT/BAR BUSINESS IN VIETNAM TO MY SON WHEN HE MARRIED HIS VIETNAMESE SWEETHEART LAST YEAR.

I am currently living in Vietnam and I need to leave every three months for a visa run so I thought it might be great to meet some new friends, save some money, give back in return and I love the idea of seeing the city through the eyes of a local. I love doing non touristy things when I'm travelling :) I also love showing people around my quaint little town :) Look forward to meeting you!
