About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To try something new, to meet people that I would never have otherwise, to explore the world

ABOUT ME

Hi everyone!

I'm on CouchSurfing because I am passionate about the idea and plan on hosting as soon as I get my own couch. My sister regularly hosts in her apartment in San Francisco, and she got me into the idea.

I just got back from a gap year in Germany, and I've been to several Couchsurfing meetings and met wonderful friends through the CS community. I would love to meet up with fellow Germans in the greater NYC or Philadelphia area to practice my German.

I attend the University of Pennsylvania and am triple-majoring in Economics, International Studies, and German. I am of Chinese descent, but I was raised and born in the USA. In addition to my year in Germany, I also spent some time studying abroad in Rennes, France.

PHILOSOPHY

If you don't ask, the answer is always no.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When Couchsurfing, I pick my host before the destination. I'll be more than happy to go out of my way to a remote village or town if that means getting a more authentic experience.

Please don't message me unless you've read my profile and are ready to comment on it!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My exchange year in Germany would have been significantly duller without CouchSurfing. Not only did I meet one of my closest friends here through CS, but I also went to my first poetry slam, a lovely presentation on South Asia, and met countless fascinating people who offered me enough brain food to last a life time :)

Interests

Music (I've been playing the piano since I was 5), photography (I run a fashion website), fashion, learning foreign languages, tea, picknicking, stand-up/improv comedy, hiking, figure skating, meeting new people/traveling
