COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, met up with a couple of surfers and finally surfed with my first couple of hosts, still waiting for some more experiences!

Interests

My main thing is making hip hop music these days but I play the drums, saxophone and percussion and write songs using keyboards and guitars and whatever, love writing spoken word and rapping and making hip hop beats and other experimental kinds of music on the computer. Love experiencing different cultures, seeing new places, being on the road, meeting people, discussing life philosophy etc. I also really enjoy laughter yoga and hope that more people discover this phenomenon! I love cats too and enjoy cycling. Very into spirituality and meditation. I'm very keen on the vegan movement and on learning about healing through nutrition.

Hope is just a thread on which we hang, tethering us to weathering rocks that will only expand and contract, peel, age, crumble and crack, and we'll fall back into the deep black, with ties still binding our struggling feet. We imprison ourselves in decisions and broken visions of "love" that tastes sweet, but so undigestable. I believe it's conditional on its double-directional flow of affection. Whether I'm a man or a woman, that's not the question. It's the source of your "love" which is questionable. Did it come from your heart or from your testacles? I'm a human bein, not a heterosexual spectacle. Best to pull people with the gravity from within, through your eyes, not through your skin, and strictly for unselfish compassionate reasons. Not fueled by the need to kill emotions, to soothe your wounded ego or to seek devotion and security, unreliable fearful impurity, clinging to the world like a leech feeding on the blood of sacrifice that the sea's bleeding. Relationships not based on giving but on wanting and needing... Remember that you are not an individual but a fragment of the one soul that created the physical universe which has temporarily fallen out of unity with the divine. You are not defined by your body or your mind, your personality, your likes, your dislikes, your faults or strengths. You are indefinable. You are love. You are no more or less important than any other "individual" on this planet and you are no more or less important than the smallest ant or the biggest ocean. Our intellect has grown out of balance with our wisdom, and it would be nice if we could all just shut off our minds for a few minutes and re-tune to the more delicate frequencies of the cosmos, so that we can remember the things that we have known since the dawn of time. Or something like that.
