About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy the life I'm living

ABOUT ME

Hello!

I love traveling and the visceral feeling in my chest at the beginning of a new adventure. I like roadtripping and backpacking, both alone or with a group of friends.

I am about to enter my senior year of college. I am an Economics major and Women and Gender Studies minor. I am also interested in urban farming and food justice. I am terrible at Risk and Monopoly, but I love playing them both.

PHILOSOPHY

"A person who sows seeds of kindness enjoys a perpetual harvest."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've stayed on many a couch and met lots of lovely people who were staying with friends.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I drove myself from California to New Jersey and stayed on couches along the way. The people I've met through couchsurfing have only been the nicest, most generous people I've ever met.

Interests

I'm interested in feminism, farms, gardening, backpacking, cooking, beer, contra dancing, aquaponics, etc, etc, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

My all time favorite movie is Harold and Maude, my favorite childhood book is The BFG, and right now one of my favorite bands is Rubblebucket. I'm pretty open-minded and love getting recommendations.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the Flathead National Forest in Montana I saw a newly burnt forest. Seeing the burnt telephone pole trees jutting out of a new carpet of green was really quite something.

Driving up the Pacific Coast Highway was one of the best car trips and best experiences I've ever had. We spontaneously stopped at a beach that was COVERED with elephant seals-- such strange looking creatures.

Teach, Learn, Share

So much learning to be had. Even after I finish being a formal student, I feel I will never stop being a student in spirit, but I think everyone on CS feels this way.

I love cooking and learning new recipes.

Also I spent some time working at an elementary school, so now I know an endless number of tag games. Just name your type-- bandaid tag? color tag? zipper tag? I'm your girl.
