Overview
About Me
I am an energetic person with far too many ideas to fulfill them all :)
Whether it comes to sailing, climbing, mountaineering or traveling, I enjoy every moment spent in the nature. Also... I love the true essence of sport which for me is taking care of the body and soul while having fun and staying in good company.
I love to cook and wherever I go I try to improvise with local ingredients to prepare some innovative dishes!
I studied mechanical engineering and worked in that field for some years, before I went on a 14 month journey across South America with my ex-girlfriend in 2018. We used couchsurfing quite a lot on that trip. Such experience is what I live for and although I am currently back in the working rythm, I already have some crazy plans for the future :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think Couchsurfing is the pure essence of traveling - way too many people travel nowadays and if everyone would have to find a host before going somewhere things would have been different (for the better) in many places:)
I love the insider tips and the usual chilled-out athmosphere I experience while couchsurfing. Although my profile might not show it I have used Couchsurfing a lot through my ex-girlfriends account (as a couple).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
14 months of traveling in South America - the plan was to stay for some months, but we just couldn't let go of the adventure :) It started of as backpacking but then we bought a car in between and continue camping all around including staying a couple of months in the wilderness of Patagonia.
